Jane celebrated 25 years as an artist in Orkney on the 21st April
Jane Glue had a very successful open day at her gallery in Finstown on saturday 21st April. It has been 25 years since she first opened her gallery at her sisters shop 'Judith Glue's' in Kirkwall.
To celebrate the day Jane had invited customers to take in any of their originals bought from her in the past. The picture shows Mr Tom Nimmo with his original toasting Jane to the next 25yrs! Jane has an exhibition of new work, some older paintings, sketchbooks and other items on show at her gallery in Finstown throughout the summer and Jane would like to thank all her customers past and present from Orkney and further afield.

Jane Glue's gallery and Accommodation is situated by the sea in the village of Finstown which is 6 miles between the main towns of Kirkwall and Stromness.

Two of Jane's paintings have been accepted to 'The Royal Scottish Society of painters in watercolour 132nd Annual exhibition'. The exhibition is held at The Upper galleries, The Royal Scottish Academy Building, The Mound, Edinburgh and is on from the 4th Febuary-1st March. All the artists work is for sale. Jane Glue's gallery/shop is open April through to October, mon-sat, 10.30-4.30pm. (Jane is quite often there at other times and can always be contacted by e-mail) The gallery consists of a shop which sells jane's prints, cards, coasters,etc , an original gallery where you can purchase Jane's latest artwork and a studio. Shorelines Accommodation is a quality two bedroomed self-catering unit and is available for booking. There is underfloor heating throughout, one twin bedroom, one double bedroom with en-suite shower/bathroom, bathroom with bath/shower, kitchen/livingroom with glass end and views out to sea. enclosed garden area with decking and private parking.
